Amazon is on the largest and most successful online retailers in the world, and with so many frequent customers it is natural for there to be a branded card to increase customer loyalty. However, because this card is not just a store card but a Visa card, there are opportunities to earn points and get rewarded for spending anywhere, not just at Amazon. The Amazon Rewards Visa Credit Card is issued on behalf of Chase bank.

This credit card is foremost a points card; you get 3 points for every dollar you spend at Amazon, 2 points for purchases at applicable pharmacies, restaurants and gas stations, and 1 point for purchases made everywhere else that Visa is accepted. 100 points is equivalent to $1 in rewards with this credit card, and so for example, you could spend $333 at Amazon and earn enough points to receive a $10 gift card. New cardholders also get a $30 Amazon Gift Card applied to the account immediately.
