Members of the APTA gain a significant number of benefits in a medical association with over 80,000 professional therapists, assistants and students within the physical therapy profession. A big benefit is being able to apply for their credit card (the Platinum Plus WorldPoints Rewards MasterCard), which offers plenty of incentives and lets you show your support and increase awareness for the APTA; in the advancement of practices and standards, research and education of physical therapy.
The rewards scheme was offered by a group called WorldPoints. You get one point for every dollar you spend with the card. Once you reach a certain number of points (2,500 is the minimum) you can redeem them for donations, gift cards, cashback, travel, hotels, car rentals and more. There are no caps on how many points you can earn, and Bonus Points are available when you spend at the WorldPoints Mall. There is also an introductory 0% APR on purchases for 12 months. Both of these incentives make this card great for everything except transferring a balance, and you can enjoy all of this with no annual fee.
