Pay My Garland Power and Light Bill
This utility offers a variety of bill payment options, so it is easy to find the right payment option for your needs. We recommend registering for the online account service.
Pay My Bill Online: Although you cannot pay online with GP&L directly, a third party service is available with Western Union Speedpay, and this service offers a very convenient way to pay your bills. You can register for this online service with your utility account information and payment details. You can pay by bank transfer, or by credit card. Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard are accepted. To make your GP&L bill payment online click the “Pay Online” button below to login, register, view your bill or manage your account online.
Pay My Bill By Phone: You can also pay your bill over the phone with Western Union. Call 972-205-2671. Note that when paying online or over the phone with Western Union, there is a $2.95 transaction fee (when paying up to $600) for residential customers and a $15.95 (when paying up to $2,500) for commercial customers.
Automatic Bank Draft: With an automatic bank draft you pay your bills automatically each month. To enroll, complete the Automatic Bank Draft Form (available at the GP&L website) and mail it along with a voided check to: Customer Service Payment Center, City of Garland, P.O. Box 461508 Garland, TX 75046-1508. To alter an existing arrangement, call 972-205-2491.
Pay My Bill By Mail: The Garland Power and Light bill payment address is: Customer Service Payment Center, City of Garland, P. O. Box 461508, Garland, TX 75046-1508. Make sure to include your account number on your check or money order. Please include your GP&L account number on your check. Your account number is located on your statement. To ensure your GP&L payment is received on time it is recommended that you mail your payment at least 5 business days prior to the due date shown on your monthly billing statement.
Pay My Bill In Person: You can pay your Garland Power and Light bill in person by visiting one of the Customer Service locations or Authorized Payment locations. The Charles E. Duckworth Utility Services building is situated at 217 N. Fifth Street, and is open 8AM – 5PM Monday – Friday (a drop box is available). The Garland Utility Payment Drive Thru is situated at 717 W. State Street. You can pay by cash, check or money order. Beginning July 14 2014, Western Union is the main Authorized payment network.
