The Preferred Account with HP is a dedicated line of credit to use at HP Direct, and aside from the benefits you get with an extra line of credit, provides rewards and other incentives that you would expect to receive with a store credit card. The account provides secure, fast convenient product purchasing, by simply selecting the ‘preferred account’ option at the online checkout.

Aside from using the account for any HP purchases, periodic financing promotions are available at low interest for larger purchases. The current offer is 12 months no interest for purchases over $899. Offers come with deferred payment or equal monthly payments. For all financing plans including this one you must insure that you pay the balance off in full by the end of the promotional financing period. You will also receive exclusive savings and discounts as an account holder and no annual fee.

HP Preferred Account Interest Rates and Fees

The normal Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for purchases is 25.99% which is equal to many other preferred accounts from electronics and computer suppliers. The minimum interest charge is $2, there is no annual fee, and late payment and returned payment fees apply. For non-promotional purchases you can avoid paying interest by paying the balance off by the due date, which is 25 days after the previous billing cycle.
