NASCAR RacePoints Credit Card
The NASCAR RacePoints Visa Credit Card was a favorite with many NASCAR enthusiasts. This was one of the few cards offered that allowed you to earn points (one point per dollar) on your purchases and redeem them for NASCAR products and experiences, including discounts for NASCAR amateur drives and free tickets for race days. This was a beneficial card by all other standards, and even better for people who want to get NASCAR rewards for their purchases.
Bank of America Discontinues NASCAR RacePoints
Unfortunately Bank of America has discontinued the NASCAR RacePoints credit card program, along with its debit card program of the same name. For everyone who had already owned the card, the program stopped awarding NASCAR points. Members have still been allowed to keep hold of their cards and their accounts, and the terminated RacePoints program has changed to Bank of America’s PowerRewards points program. This is a rewarding points program with lots of bonus points opportunities and a wealth of different available rewards, but does not have any connection to NASCAR.
Keep Your Ear to the Ground!
While the NASCAR RacePoints credit card is not currently available, the official word from Bank of America is that the program is not being discontinued entirely, and that for now the product is simply not being offered or marketed. Because of this, there is a chance that NASCAR programs could once again be introduced in the future, so NASCAR enthusiasts should keep their ears to the ground for any new changes that may come.
For now, the best way for fans to get themselves rewarded is to register for NASCAR Racepoints. This rewards program is provided by NASCAR themselves, and allows you to earn points for NASCAR-related purchases. Once registered you can create your own profile and get involved with the NASCAR community. 250 bonus points are currently available for connecting their profile with Twitter.
