To make your Duke Energy bill payment online click the green “Online Payment” button above to login, register, view your bill or manage your account online. Enter your Username and password and complete the prompts asking you how to manage your online payments. You will enter information for your card details, including the three-digit Card Verification Value (CVV). This appears on the back of your credit or debit card. If you have an American Express-branded card, the CVV will have four digits and will appear on the front of the card. Check the payment details and click the Confirm button to process your payment. Confirmation that your payment has been submitted will appear on your screen.

Duke Energy operates a phone system allowing you to make payments for free or for a small fee. To pay over the phone call 800-521-2232 to contact Customer Service and be directed to make a payment. Have your billing account number home phone number ready or the phone number associated with your Duke Energy account. If you are using a credit or debit card, you need to give your card number and expiration date; if you want to pay with a checking or savings account, you’ll need to supply your account number and your bank routing number.
