How Do I Pay My Florida Power & Light Bill?

Pay Online: FPL offers an online account service to all its customers. With this service you can check your bills and bill history, and make payments from your bank account with no fees. You can make single payments, schedule or future payment or enroll in automatic bill pay to avoid late or missed payments. Pay By Debit/Credit: FPL is partnered with Western Union Speedpay to let you make FP&L bill payments online and over the phone by MasterCard, Discover and American Express. You will need your account number, service address zip code and card billing address. Call 1-800-979-3967.
Pay By Phone: The Florida Power & Light billing phone number is 1-800-226-3545. This is a 24/7 Pay By Phone service available for residential customers. This service supports transfers from your checking account.
Pay By Mail: The Florida Power & Light bill payment address is: FPL, General Mail Facility, Miami, FL 33188-0001. Checks and money orders only. Make sure you include your payment coupon, or include the FPL account number on check/money order.
Pay in Person: There are many third-party Authorized Pay Agents that let you pay your Florida Power & Light bill in person, by cash, check or money order. Use the interactive map at the FPL website or call 1-800-226-5885. At some locations a $1 fee is applicable. Make sure you have your FPL account number and bill stub.
Account Opening and Closing
Florida Power & Light allows you to start a new service, stop an existing service and transfer a service – everything can be done online. To open a new account, you will need information including your service address and social security number.
When opening a new account, you may be required to secure your account with a deposit. This depends on your credit history. The deposit amount is equal to two month’s suspected occupied home electricity use. Your deposit is refunded if you keep your account in good standing and your account has been open for at least 23 months. There is an alternative Unconditional Guarantee / Guarantor Contract available for certain applicants.
