Temple University Credit Card
With the Temple University credit card, you can earn cash back on your regular purchases and benefit from low introductory interest rates. This card is a BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature credit card, offered in partnership between Temple University and Bank of America, and with it you can proudly show your support for the university. The card features the distinctive âTâ shaped logo, and Bank of America give money to the University for every new account that is opened, and gives a percentage on all credit card transactions.
With this card you can support the university and its important efforts and activities, though you get rewarded too with 1% cash back provided on all purchases. Better than this is the 2% return provided on grocery purchases, and the 3% return on gas purchases (with a quarterly spending limit of $1,500). So if you put a little forethought into your Temple University credit card purchases, you can earn a healthy amount of cash back. Once you have accrued enough of it, you can redeem it as a statement credit or a check. There are a number of bonuses which sweeten the deal, including a $100 cash back bonus if you make at least $500 in purchases in the first 90 days of opening your account.
There is plenty to like with this card, and the terms and conditions serve up no surprises. The one bad thing is the penalty APR, which is pretty unforgiving. This APR is 29.99%, and may apply to your account if you make a late payment. There is an introductory APR on purchases for the first 12 billing cycles. After this a rate between 12.99% and 22.99% will apply, depending on your creditworthiness. This card comes with no annual fee. The minimum interest charge is $1.50. The due date for making payments is at least 25 days after the close of the previous billing cycle. You can avoid paying any interest by paying off your purchase balance completely by the due date.
