Union Bank Credit Cards
Union Bank offers a variety of Visa and American Express credit cards in partnership with the credit card issuer First Bankcard. Some of them are designed to be simple and reward you with low rates of interest, some offer a balance between competitive interest rates and rewards, and there is a Secured Visa available for those who are looking to build or rebuild their credit history.
Rewards with American Express
Out of all the cards available, the Union Bank Graphite American Express Credit Card is the one to choose if you want rewards and you like to travel. This card gives you 3% cash back on airline purchases, and on top of this you also get 2% on gas and groceries and 1% on everything else. You are not hindered by any caps, so there is no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn. Interest rates vary from 13.99% to 19.99%, following 12 months 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers. There is no preset spending limit.
The Graphite card does however come with a $99 annual fee after the first year. If this is not agreeable to you, check out the standard Union Bank American Express Credit Card instead. Everything with this card is the same as Graphite, except for the fact that there is no 3% return on airline purchases, and no annual fee. If you are going to choose Graphite, it is important that you use the airline rewards enough so that the annual fee is worth it. Otherwise go with the standard Amex.
American Express offers some of the best cardholder benefits of any credit card payment processor, and so with Union Bank Credit Cards, if you want to get rewarded with travel privileges, extended warranty, free auto rental insurance and travel accident insurance, Amex may be the one to go with.
